And He separated the Light from the darkness
I think the meaning of the bible is more important than the actual words. I believe in a divine control, and creation under Devine guidance, however, this is not what I stress as I go through these versus. I’m looking at the meaning of what happens, as I do not know if creation as literal, or God explaining something beyond any understanding.
In the second or third verse of genesis 1, God talks about creating light (“let there be light” and there was light)
God saw that the Light was good, and separated it from the Darkness. He creates, and then he separates. Holy (separated by God), Christians are also separated from the world at large, not by location or color or physical factors, unless for His purpose, rather, we are separated by Love, Faith and hope.
Even sinners love their friends (those who love them), so I'm not specifying love in this way. By love, I mean, the almost all guiding love of the Bible.
Jesus said, "he who is forgiven much, loves much"
This when an "immoral" woman entered a house where He was having a meal with high class people, and anointed his feet with oil, and washed it dry with her hair and tears.
I doubt I’d love at all if God had not forgiven me or took a burden I could not stand below. Because of his mercy I love. //though I don't define love as mercy
It is said, that God binds all to disobedience, that He may have mercy on them. I know I have had more mercy from God, than I can even comprehend. And, as a result, I truly believe I love Him more.
“Love is fulfilment of the Law” (NIV)
A bible verse of interest
1 John
“7 ¶ Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.” (KJV)
